
Government for the second time provides UAH 200 million for ATO veterans and IDPs to purchase housing on preferential terms
Today, on November 27, the Government has adopted a decision that will allow ATO/JFO veterans as well as internally displaced persons (IDPs) to obtain affordable housing.
According to the Government's resolution, ATO/JFO participants and IDPs will be eligible to purchase housing on favorable terms. It is about a long-term government loan at 3% interest rate per annum for the period of up to 20 years with a minimum payment of up to 6% of the cost of housing. The Government will allocate UAH 200 million for this program, of which UAH 100 million for the crediting of ATO/JFO participants and UAH 100 million for the crediting of internally displaced persons.
Apart from that, the Government has allocated another UAH 1.8 million for housing for 6 internally displaced families in Zhytomyr, who will be able to obtain housing due co-financing from the state and local budgets. Among those who will receive apartments there are families with children, inter alia one family having a disabled child, the rest of the families are single mothers raising underage children.
As we have informed a month ago (on October 28) the Government allotted UAH 300 million in the framework of the affordable housing program for 950 families in the suburban areas of Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv.
