
Government authorizes Vladyslav Kryklii to conclude financing agreement with EIB on Luhansk region road renovation project
Today, December 2, at its meeting, the Government approved the order of the Cabinet of Ministers "On raising loans from the EIB for the project "Eastern Ukraine: Reunification, Reconstruction and Revival (Project 3B)" in the amount of EUR 100 million to be directed to restore the road infrastructure of Luhansk region.
The Government has also approved the President's order "On the Ukrainian delegation to participate in negotiations with the EIB on the Financing Agreement "Eastern Ukraine: Reunification, Reconstruction and Revival (Project 3B)" and authorized the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii to sign the agreement from the Ukrainian side.
"The implementation of this important project for the eastern region will not only contribute to the development of the infrastructure of Luhansk region, but will also allow its full integration into the economy of Ukraine. The EIB funds raised in the amount of EUR 100 million will be used for repair works on 2 sections of the R-66 highway at the Demyno-Oleksandrivka checkpoint -Svatove-Lysychansk-Luhansk. Once again, I thank our constant international partners for their cooperation and support in building modern and high-quality infrastructure for the people," said Vladyslav Kryklii.
In addition to the € 100 million loan from the EIB under the 3B Road Rehabilitation Project in Luhansk Region, Ukraine will also receive a $ 65 million loan from the IBRD. All these funds will be directed to capital and current average repairs of highways:
- H-26 Chuhuiv-Milove;
- R-66 Demyno-Oleksandrivka checkpoint -Svatove-Lysychansk-Luhansk;
- T-13-02 Checkpoint "Tanyushivka" - Starobilsk - Bakhmut.
In total, within the framework of the project it is planned to upgrade about 183 km of public roads of national importance in the region.
