
Government directs UAH 6 billion to the COVID-19 Response Fund at the account of saved budget funds
On December 14, 2020, at an extraordinary meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine redistributed certain state budget expenditures provided to the main spending units for 2020 and increased the expenditures of the COVID-19 Response Fund by 6 UAH billion.
Thus, in order to prevent the spread and overcome the negative consequences of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 in Ukraine, there is a need to increase expenditures of the Fund to combat COVID-19 by saving the resource from the state budget, which is projected by the end of 2020 under the relevant budget programs of main spending units of budget funds.
According to the proposal of the 36 main spending units towards the reduction of the state budget expenditures by the end of 2020, it is suggested to make a balanced redistribution of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget envisaged for the main spending units of funds for 2020.
As a reminder, as of December 10, 2020, the volume of the allocated means from Fund under the general fund of the state budget makes up UAH 66 billion, cash expenses – UAH 45.5 billion.
