On March 29, at a Government meeting, a resolution was adopted with the purpose to facilitate the procurement of goods, works and services needed to combat COVID-19 coronavirus disease. In addition, such purchases can now be made by all customers across the territory of Ukraine.
According to the decision, the customer only has to publish information about the planned purchase and to report on the results of its implementation in the electronic procurement system.
Moreover, according to the List of goods, works and services necessary for the implementation of measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), all customers in the territory of Ukraine can make purchases, whereas previously only healthcare institutions had this opportunity.
"We must make every effort to simplify at most all the processes aimed to overcome the coronavirus. We have taken into account proposals from competent agencies, businesses and organizations and have simplified the procurement mechanism for the relevant goods and services, as well as expanded our customer base. Such changes make it possible to ensure prompt and timely implementation of procurement by customers," commented Ihor Petrashko, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
