Ukraine seeks to adapt the best EU policies and for this purpose in the last 1.5 years the Government has been actively implementing and developing the gas and electricity market and is intensively preparing for synchronization with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) in 2023. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated during the online event "Investment Climate in Post-Pandemic Ukraine" on June 22.
The Head of Government stressed that one of the priority areas is the development of alternative energy and the implementation of the world's best waste management practices.
"Ukraine needs investment in the construction of surplus energy storage systems produced by domestic power plants, which should ensure energy security and greater flexibility of the energy system," Denys Shmyhal stressed.
The Prime Minister also noted that Ukraine is actively joining the European Green Deal and sees prospects in setting priorities for cooperation with international financial institutions through the lens of the European Green Deal.
