On September 1, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine endorsed the decision to introduce changes to the amount of scholarships for students of vocational (technical) education, students of vocational higher and higher education.
"Our goal is to invest in educational institutions, provide incentives for development, encourage entrepreneurs to invest in education, motivate teachers with better salaries and students with higher scholarships," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal accentuated.
Thus, from January 1, 2022, scholarships in vocational education institutions will be increased 2.5 times, and students of vocational higher and higher education institutions will receive an increase of at least 1.5 times.
According to the Head of Government, the last upsurge in the amount of academic scholarships was in November 2017, so there is an urgent need to increase the social protection of pupils and students.
