Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal congratulated everyone on the beginning of the school year during the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge at the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Construction and Design.

"I wish students inspired learning, good marks and interesting challenges. And for teachers - endurance and sound health, "said Denys Shmyhal.

the Head of Government noted in his speech that at present, there is a demand on the r market for employees who have practical skills.

"That is why, we place an emphasis on dual education when an institution and a business ink an agreement that gives students the opportunity to work while studying. The advantage of dual education is for business, education and the student. Because students will know where they will work, receive a larger scholarship and a higher salary from the first day of the work," the Prime Minister stressed.

Denys Shmyhal noted that in the two years since the beginning of the implementation of dual education, more than 200 educational institutions have concluded relevant agreements with almost 1,500 enterprises.

“Students of such colleges are already gaining practical experience at enterprises while studying. When they come to work at the enterprise this will allow them not to waste time on probation with small or without salary. But to start a career being already professionally trained to work on the production base of this enterprise ", the Head of the Government emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, amid community competition for the investor, the public-private partnership should become a public-private-regional one, as vocational education institutions are mostly municipal.

“The state also contributes funding to the creation of training and practice centers. This year, a sum worth UAH 150 million has been allocated for these needs - the largest in history. A total of 300 centers have been established. Our goal is to create educational and practical centers in all institutions of vocational education," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister also got acquainted with the material and technical base and training and production infrastructure of the institution and talked to the students of Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Construction and Design. The Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet also took part in the solemn events.
