The Government has approved the distribution of the subvention to local budgets for the implementation of the "Capable School for Better Results" program. The 2021 budget enshrines UAH 1 billion for its implementation.

As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stressed, the funds under the program will be allocated to projects aimed at supporting education in the regions.

"These are initiatives related to the formation of barrier-free environment in educational institutions and the organization and provision of healthy nutrition. Of course, there are plans for major repairs of schools, as well as updating the material and technical base of canteens of educational institutions. So far, in synergy with regional state administrations and MPs, more than 500 projects have been approved to improve the conditions for a proper educational process, " the Head of Government said.

Apart from that, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the distribution of UAH 150 million of subvention to local budgets for the establishment of training and practical centers of modern vocational education.

"This is an important step to make them more modern and competitive, as well as to create the right conditions for students to acquire professional skills right during their education," the Prime Minister underscored.
