Today, on September 4, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision on the complete transition to electronic document management (EDMS).

The changes are to come in force from October 1, by that time the government agencies should make appropriate organizational arrangements in the document management system (DMS).

“Every month, government authorities send thousands of different documents to each other. They are delivered by general and specialized postal services because these are actually thousands of documents. From October 1, the exchange of documents will be completely electronic. That will cut the time for delivery and processing of correspondence, which will come via digital services rather than being delivered by couriers. This is the first step towards complete digitization of all document management”, Dmytro Dubilet, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, comments on the Government's decision.
