  • Government initiates a decision on supplies of energy for Luhansk TPP without use of a regulated price

    The Cabinet of Ministers initiates  approval of the decision to supply energy sources to Luhansk thermal power plants without use of a regulated special price and accelerating the construction of alternative power lines in the region. This issue was discussed during a special meeting initiated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman after discussing the situation at a government meeting on August 14. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry and Andriy Gerus, the Representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers.

    During the meeting a decision on  supplies of energy sources without the use of a regulated special price was endorsed. The relevant decision will be approved at the next Government meeting. At the same time, Ukrenergo national power company is instructed to accelerate the implementation of the project of construction of an alternative power supply line.
