On the basis of the dynamics of the formation of gas price in the Ukrainian market, and taking into account the data of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange - as of today UAH 4,643 excluding VAT, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine UAH 4,640 for the industry excluding VAT, the final price of gas for the population in August will drop by at least 5.5%, as compared to the price in July, and will make up no more than UAH 4,640 excluding VAT.

Commenting on that, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman noted that in total, due to the Government's diligent efforts and consistent actions, the price of gas for the population will drop by 25%.

"Despite the opposition of the monopolist, we have found a solution and forced Naftogaz to sell gas at a cheaper price for the population. The price of blue fuel for the population in general in the three months has decreased from UAH 5,803 to 4,640, excluding VAT. As a result of a Government decision, the price of gas fell by 25%", said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 293 and obliged Naftogaz to sell gas to the population cheaper from June. The Government's decision makes it impossible for Naftogaz to speculate on gas prices.
