July 22, during a working visit to Baku, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov met with Minister of Youth and Sports of the Azerbaijan Republic Azad Rahimov.

During the meeting, the Youth and Sports Cooperation Program between Ministries for 2019-2020 was signed.

The program, apart from the traditional sports component, has a component of youth policy. In particular, it includes exchanges of young people and holding of the Days of Youth of Ukraine in Azerbaijan, and vice versa, exchange of experience in implementing national youth policy, mutual participation in youth summer camps.

"I thank our Azerbaijan partners for their support and cooperation. Today with my colleague we have discussed issues of perspective bilateral cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports, the youth policy. In particular, study of the Azerbaijan experience in the development of infrastructure, physical culture and sports; exchange of experience in implementing effective tools for working with young people and introduction of initiatives to increase the level of youth participation in the socio-economic life of countries; study of Azerbaijan experience in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives of youth/launch of startups", commented Ihor Zhdanov following signing the document.
