Uruguay and Ukraine inked a visa-free agreement
On September 26, 2018, in the presence of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, while participating in the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay Rodolfo Nin Novoa signed an Agreement on Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements. Upon the entry into force of this agreement, Uruguay will become another South American country, where citizens of Ukraine who are holders of biometric passports can travel without visas.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of bilateral political dialogue and deepening cooperation in the trade and economic spheres. Pavlo Klimkin invited his Uruguayan counterpart to pay a working visit to Ukraine.
