Within the framework of the participation of a delegation of Ukraine in the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Minister Pavlo Klimkin met with his Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi.

In the context of the Italy’s 2018 OSCE chairmanship, the parties discussed practical support by the Italian side of Ukraine's initiatives on restoring peace to separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO). Particular emphasis was laid on extending of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Moreover, the parties agreed on further steps towards the development of bilateral relations, in particular the holding of the next meeting of the joint Ukrainian-Italian intergovernmental commission.
