The Government has approved an operational plan for the implementation of the Strategy for Gender Equality in Education until 2030

This decision allows all participants in the educational process to have equal opportunities to realise their potential without discrimination and gender bias.

The operational plan provides for the implementation of four main strategic objectives covering the entire education system.

• Comprehensive implementation of principles, policies and measures that will promote equal rights and opportunities for all, respect for human dignity, and non-discrimination in the education system.
• Strengthening the role of educational institutions in ensuring equal opportunities, preventing and combating violence and discrimination, improving the educational process on the basis of respect for human dignity and acceptance of human diversity.
• Strengthening the role and capabilities of the professional community in ensuring equal rights and international cooperation.
• Implementation of inclusive practices in education to overcome the consequences of military operations and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

This initiative will promote the implementation of a gender-sensitive approach in the educational process at all levels, as well as the removal of any discriminatory barriers in educational institutions. The action plan covers the entire education system and includes important changes to the curriculum.
