Government removed seven inactive industrial parks from the Register

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to remove seven industrial parks from the Register of Industrial (Manufacturing) Parks of Ukraine. The main reason was that these sites had been unable to attract industrial manufacturers for over three years. Due to a lack of capital investment in site preparation, construction of workshops and connection to utilities, the parks did not become attractive enough to investors, which made it impossible to launch real economic activity.

Meanwhile, the removal of an industrial park from the Register does not mean its liquidation. It can continue to operate, but without the right to receive state incentives.

"Industrial parks are an effective tool for economic growth. But, to work effectively, they must comply with the law. The lack of real production indicates that the chosen model for the development of these sites has not worked. However, exclusion from the Register is, first and foremost, an incentive to review the strategy. In six months, the initiator of its creation can resubmit this park for inclusion, having worked on the mistakes in terms of infrastructure preparation," said Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The following industrial parks have been removed from the Register:

  • Zolotonosha (Zolotonosha, Cherkasy region, included on 18 May 2017);
  • Kamianka-Buzka (Kamianka-Buzka, Lviv region, included on 31 May 2017);
  • Novorozdil Industrial Park (Novorozdil, Lviv region, included on 15 June 2017);
  • Novovolynsk (Novovolynsk, Volyn region, included on 30 June 2017);
  • Kyivshchyna (Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region, included on 25 October 2017);
  • Maramures (village of Bila Tserkva, Tyachiv district, Zakarpattia region, included on 3 June 2022);
  • Volodymyr (city of Volodymyr, Volyn region, included on 11 October 2022).

Today, the Register includes 111 industrial parks, with 27 new facilities added in 2025 alone. Real sector indicators confirm the effectiveness of this tool: 37 factories have already been built or are under construction in the parks.
