The Government has allocated an additional UAH 3.5 billion from the state budget reserve fund for urgent repairs to local roads. The funding will be used to repair critical road sections to improve public safety and support Defence Forces logistics, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“The funds will be directed to specific sections where they are most critically needed,” the Prime Minister said. “For people, this is a matter of safety and faster access to hospitals, maternity wards and schools. For our Defence Forces, it is a matter of evacuation, logistics and supplying units.”

The funding is being provided on a co-financing basis with local budgets and will be distributed among all regions of Ukraine.
