Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 23 October 2025 20:14

The Government has allocated UAH 8.4 billion for gas imports for the heating season. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“This decision is part of the preparation for winter under shelling conditions. Ukraine needs more gas to ensure a stable passage through the heating period. After all, due to massive russian strikes on the gas infrastructure, we have temporarily lost our own production,” the Prime Minister explained.

According to her, purchasing additional energy resources will enhance the reliability of gas and heat supplies to Ukrainian homes amid russia’s energy terror.

“The Government, together with Naftogaz, is doing everything necessary to guarantee a stable heating season in Ukraine,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised.
