Government resumes competitive selection for civil service and local government positions

The Government is resuming competitive selection for positions in the civil service and local self-government bodies. Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi thanked Members of Parliament for supporting the relevant bill.

"Competitions will resume in stages. For Category A positions, they will be announced from the day the law takes effect. For Category B, one month later, and for Category C and local self-government positions, two months later," the Prime Minister said.

According to Sergii Koretskyi, the procedure will also be updated. All vacancies will be posted in the Diia, and war veterans will get priority in appointments.

The Prime Minister stressed that resuming the competitions is one of Ukraine's commitments under the Ukraine Facility, and EUR 137 million in support depends on it.

"Next, we will prepare the necessary decisions so that the new procedure can take effect as soon as possible," he said.
