Government allocates nearly UAH 322 million for salaries of veteran support specialists: Denys Shmyhal
The Government has adopted several decisions to support educators, veterans, and small and medium-sized businesses, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced during a Cabinet meeting on 14 July.
In particular, he noted that approximately UAH 35 billion in educational subsidies has been allocated to ensure timely salary payments for teachers from September to December 2025. Additionally, over UAH 158 million has been distributed for the modernisation of school canteens.
Special attention is being given to protecting veterans’ rights. Nearly UAH 322 million will be allocated to fund the salaries of veteran support specialists, who are already working in around a thousand communities. According to Denys Shmyhal, the goal is to ensure every community has sufficient specialists. He also highlighted that finding a veteran support specialist is now easier thanks to the new digital platform Veteran Pro.
The Government continues to support entrepreneurship. As Denys Shmyhal emphasised, Ukrainian entrepreneurs have received nearly UAH 323 billion through the “5-7-9” affordable lending programme since the start of the full-scale war. To enhance the programme’s effectiveness, the Cabinet of Ministers has refined the mechanism for obtaining concessional loans, including clarifying criteria for classifying enterprises by segment and increasing the loan guarantee for newly established companies to 80% through the Business Development Fund.
