Government allocates UAH 50 million to strengthen security at energy facilities in Kherson region

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has disbursed UAH 50 million from the State Budget's reserve fund to the Kherson Regional Military Administration to strengthen the security of the region's critical energy infrastructure.

The funds will be used to reinforce eight energy facilities, including the installation of engineering structures and anti-drone shielding for critical equipment.

"Kherson region comes under enemy fire every day, which is why bolstering our energy infrastructure here is especially important. We are allocating a further UAH 50 million to the region to protect eight energy facilities. This will help increase their resilience to attacks and reduce the risks to a stable energy supply for local communities," said Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The work is expected to complete by the end of 2026.
