The Ukrainian Government has approved changes to the Procedure for the Organization and Functioning of Resilience Centers in order to strengthen support for citizens in freezing temperatures, restore the power grid after enemy shelling, and ease curfew restrictions. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“People must have constant access to assistance, warmth, and power, even in freezing conditions and during the restoration of the power grid after enemy strikes,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.

According to the adopted changes, a network of support points will be introduced in Ukraine. These points will be operating continuously for more than 48 hours, will have the necessary supplies of water and electricity, stable communications, and, if necessary, equipped sleeping areas.

The points will be deployed taking into account the population of the communities. If necessary, the number of sleeping places in them can be increased.

As of today, 10,676 points of resilience are operating continuously throughout the country. Since the beginning of January, 130,000 people have already used them. Nearly 3,000 more points are prepared to open if necessary.
