Government enhances energy resilience of communities during prolonged power outages, says Yulia Svyrydenko
The Government is rolling out more programmes to support energy independence for apartment buildings and private homes, says Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
1. Energy support for condominiums and housing cooperatives
According to the Head of Government, the programme ensures the uninterrupted functioning of apartment buildings. In particular, it covers the operation of lifts, pumps, heating systems, water supply and lighting during power outages.
A preferential loan of 0% can be obtained from 43 partner banks of the ‘5-7-9%’ programme.
The amount is up to UAH 3 million, and the term is up to 3 years.
The state compensates up to 50% of the cost of a generator and up to 70% of the cost of a solar power plant or heat pump.
Support is provided for diesel, petrol and gas generators, solar power stations and heat pumps.

2. Energy support for private houses
As Yulia Svyrydenko noted, owners of private houses and townhouses can take out a loan at 0% interest from any partner bank to purchase equipment for autonomous power supply for their homes. The state will compensate up to 30% of the loan amount, depending on the configuration of the system.
A preferential loan starting at 0% can be obtained from 43 partner banks participating in the ‘5–7–9%’ programme.
The amount is up to UAH 480,000, and the term is up to 10 years.
Compensation from the state — up to 30% of the cost of equipment.
Support is provided for diesel, petrol and gas generators, batteries and solar power stations as part of an autonomous system.
