Government invests in STEM education and healthy meals for schoolchildren across the country: Denys Shmyhal

The Government pursues systematic work to create a safe and modern educational environment. This was emphasized by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 2.

He emphasized that as part of the implementation of the state policy in the education sector the Cabinet of Ministers had distributed more than UAH 488 million of the so-called STEM subvention among hromadas. Today, a decision on allocating another UAH 11 million for schools in Dnipro and Cherkasy regions was adopted.

Moreover, according to Denys Shmyhal, the Government disburses UAH 185 million for schools in 12 regions. These financial resources shall be directed to the modernization of school canteens.

“A total of UAH 960 million has been envisaged in the state budget for this purpose this year,” told the Prime Minister.
