Government commissions relevant services to ensure the uninterrupted operation of resilience centers

Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 10 January 2026 16:41

The Government has instructed all relevant authorities and services to ensure the uninterrupted operation of resilience centers. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“The Government has commissioned all relevant authorities and services to ensure the uninterrupted operation of resilience centers, to provide backup power sources and fuel for their operation, means of communication, and other necessary equipment,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.

The Head of the Government and her team checked the operation of the resilience centers on the left bank of Kyiv and in the Kyiv region.

In total, there are almost 1,300 centers operating in the capital, provided by the authorities, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and entrepreneurs.

There are 6,908 resilience centers across the country, with another 2,703 in reserve.

Yulia Svyrydenko also announced an additional decision: Ukrzaliznytsia's resilience carriages, the first seven of which began operating today in the Kyiv region to help people after enemy attacks. They are equipped with a full heating system, Starlink, household appliances, and separate areas for families with children and pets. One carriage can accommodate about 40 people at a time. A total of 100 such passenger carriages from the non-operational fleet have been converted. The Prime Minister thanked the partners for their support of this project.

"The RMvA, together with local authorities, should deploy as many additional points as possible — not only in the capital, but throughout the country, given the deteriorating weather conditions and low temperatures. We are involving the resources of large state-owned enterprises and banks in this effort. I am grateful to Ukrainian businesses, which are actively involved and are providing people the opportunity to recharge and warm up in their premises," emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
