Czech government to help restore Dnipropetrovsk region: Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development

The team of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development led by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, met with Tomáš Kopečný, Czech Governmental Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, and representatives of the Czech business community.

During the meeting, the parties discussed joint projects to be implemented in Ukraine with the assistance of the Czech government, in particular within the framework of the permanent working group on the restoration of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The agenda included cooperation with local businesses and further joint work with international financial institutions.

“We have a successful experience of cooperation with the Czech Republic, especially in the transport sector. Thanks to the help of our partners, 21 bridges were installed to replace those destroyed as a result of russian aggression. Also, Ukrzaliznytsia, together with the private carrier RegioJet CZ, continues to work on launching a new Chop-Prague connection. Traffic on this route is scheduled to start in March. At the same time, we are synchronising our efforts to rebuild Ukraine and welcome Czech businesses,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov.
