Today, January 12, in cooperation with Visa and Middleware, Ukrzaliznytsia has launched its first chatbot in Viber and Telegram messengers with the opportunity of direct sales or return of tickets, as well as orders of food during the trip, displaying the schedule, informing about the arrival or delay of the train, track number, etc.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy.
"Ukrzaliznytsia continues to develop its services and become more customer-oriented for passengers and business. Back in the summer of 2020, at my initiative, the company started selling tickets 90 days before the date of the trip and triggered a customer loyalty program for travelers on Intercity +. Today, Ukrzaliznytsia is launching for the first time with its own chatbot, which not only provides background information and feedback but also has the functions of selling or returning tickets, ordering food and other additional options," said the Minister.
UZ chatbot speaks three languages: Ukrainian, English and Russian.
Vladyslav Kryklii explained that payment for tickets purchased through a chatbot is made directly without a redirect service - for this, it is possible to link a payment card in an electronic wallet. Passengers can also use Google Pay, Apple Pay and Viber Chatbot Payments to pay for the services.
Tickets for Intercity + high-speed trains for order and their schedules are currently available in the chatbot. You can test the service by following the links: https://vb.me/ukr_railway or https://t.me/Ukrzaliznytsia_Tickets_Bot.
