The Government has transferred UAH 91.2 million to 378 winners of the Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) grant programme. In particular, 354 winners received microgrants in the amount of UAH 82 million to start or develop their own business, and 24 winners received UAH 9.2 million under the veterans’ component.

“The next winners of the Vlasna Sprava grant programme have received over UAH 90 million from the state to start a new business or expand an existing one. Microgrants of up to UAH 250,000 are the most popular among Ukrainians. At the same time, veterans and their spouses can receive a much larger grant for business development – up to UAH 1 million. To date, more than 10,000 Ukrainians have already taken advantage of the opportunity to receive a grant and have funds in their accounts to implement their entrepreneurial ideas,” said Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

In total, since the launch of the Vlasna Sprava programme, more than 10,000 Ukrainians have already received UAH 2.4 billion in grants for their businesses. The winners can spend the funds on the purchase or leasing of equipment, purchase of raw materials and supplies, and rent of premises. Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no experience of such activities can receive a microgrant. A prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant.

The Government’s eRobota (eWork) project includes grant programmes aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and job creation. These include microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, and grants for planting orchards, developing viticulture and greenhouse farming. Applications for all components of the eRobota programme are submitted through the Diia portal.
