The Mriia project has become a participant in the Google.org Fellowship program and will receive USD 1.5 million from Google.org for the development of digital education in Ukraine.

Support from Google.org will enable the Mriia educational ecosystem to deliver new artificial intelligence-based functionality to make education more flexible, modern, and tailored to the needs of each child. Initially, Gemini-based AI technologies will be used for personalized content recommendations and for reducing the routine workload on teachers.

In the future, AI will help deliver Mriia's core mission: to create personalized educational trajectories for each child that take into account their interests and needs.

"Support from Google is an important signal that Ukraine is creating innovative products that change people's lives and open up new opportunities for our children. In September, more than 2,000 schools began training with Mriia. In 2026, we will begin piloting preschool education and developing a concept for higher education institutions. Thanks to Google's support, we will manage to develop the product even faster, adding new features and tools based on artificial intelligence. It is important that Google systematically supports the development of Ukrainian education — from the relaunch of the Diia.Osvita platform to the introduction of new technologies that help millions of Ukrainians gain knowledge and new skills. We are grateful to the company for its partnership and trust," said First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.

Support from Google.org will serve as a strategic springboard for the Mriia team at a critical stage of scaling: introducing the ecosystem in schools across Ukraine, launching pilot programs in preschools, and building a strong user community. This is much more than support. It is international recognition of Ukraine's innovative potential and unequivocal confirmation of the revolutionary ability of educational technologies to transform the learning process.

Mriia is already demonstrating the impact of this transformation, setting fundamentally new standards for personalized learning and interactive engagement between students, teachers, and digital educational content. It is symbolically and strategically important that Google, the global architect of the technological future, is systematically investing in partnerships with Ukraine and Ukrainian EdTech solutions.

In an era of rapid digitalization, education systems around the world are forced to radically rethink their approaches to learning. The success of projects such as Diia.Osvita and Mriia proves that Ukrainian technological solutions are not just adapting to global challenges — they are creating new paradigms for the education of the future. The large-scale integration of such platforms lays a solid foundation for training the next generation of Ukrainians, who will not only be competitive in the global talent market but will also become leaders in the digital world.

"At Google, we believe that education is the foundation for a better future, and Mriia is a vibrant example of this vision. We are inspired by Ukraine's commitment to using technology to revolutionize learning, and we are proud to support this initiative. Our support will help Mriia expand its reach, integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools to personalize learning, and provide new opportunities for Ukrainian students, teachers, and parents. This partnership is a testament to our shared mission to use technology to open up new opportunities for everyone," said Rowan Barnett, Director of Google.org for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Google's support will be delivered in partnership with the East Europe Foundation, a key intermediary and provider of initiatives and programs aimed at developing digitalization and education in Ukraine.

"Education is an investment in the future. At the East Europe Foundation, we believe that every child in Ukraine has the right to modern knowledge from the earliest years of life. Therefore, we are pleased to implement the state educational project Mriia and support the Ministry of Digital Transformation in its development. Support from Google opens up new opportunities — integrating artificial intelligence into the platform and expanding the application for preschoolers to make learning even more interesting and accessible for children and their parents," said Viktor Lyakh, President of the East Europe Foundation.

The piloting of Mriia began in September 2024, and in April 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the web portal and application were now available to any school that wanted to use them. Mriia is an initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science in partnership with the EGAP program, which is run by the East Europe Foundation with support from Switzerland.
