On May 17, the Ukrainian delegation began its work at the World Urban Forum in Baku—the largest global platform for discussing urban development, housing policy, and community recovery.

Ukraine’s participation in the WUF focuses on housing reconstruction, community resilience, and modern approaches to urban recovery in wartime conditions.

Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba thanked Azerbaijan and international partners for their support of Ukraine.

“We are deeply grateful to the host of the event—the Republic of Azerbaijan and the country’s President, Ilham Aliyev. Ukraine and Azerbaijan fully understand the value of resilience and the importance of strong infrastructure, energy security, and modern urban development.

We highly value our partnership and the opportunity to discuss Ukraine’s recovery at such a high level. We are especially grateful to the UN-Habitat Program for its support of Ukraine, housing policy, and the invitation to this important Forum,” said Oleksii Kuleba.
