In the autumn-winter period, Ukraine will be provided with the necessary amount of energy resources. The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced that at a press conference. According to him, more than 13.2 billion cubic meters of gas have been pumped into Ukraine's gas storage facilities, and by October 1, 14.5-15 billion cubic meters of gas is planned to accumulate.

"We have agreements with the USA on the provision of 2 billion cubic meters from American gas producers during QIV of this year and QI of the next year. We engage in the negotiations with the northern countries, in particular with Norway, on the provision of physical volumes of gas for Ukraine," the Head of Government noted.

Denys Shmyhal assured that although the heating season was expected to be one of the most challenging, Ukraine would have sufficient gas and coal for its stable passage.

In general, according to the Prime Minister, our state now has 2.2 million tons of coal. As the Head of Government emphasized, these are the largest reserves in recent years for this period. Up to 2.5 million tons will be accumulated before the start of the heating season. Therefore, the maximum capacity of storage facilities will be used.

Denys Shmyhal accentuated that the Government was preparing for various scenarios of the heating season, including those related to military risks.

Apart from the resources component, the Government is working to ensure the material and technical base: almost 1,500 mobile generators, dozens of reserve boilers, about 100 power points, etc. have already been purchased. Also, equipment continues to arrive from international partners as humanitarian aid.
