Ukraine has received more than 18,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the energy sector since the start of the war: German Galushchenko
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received more than 18,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the energy sector. This was announced by Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko during his speech at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine in Kropyvnytskyi.
“Since March 2022, Ukraine has received 1,370 cargoes with a total weight of about 18,200 tonnes from 36 countries. We are sincerely grateful to our partners for their continued support of Ukraine and its energy sector,” the Minister said.
He also stressed that work on attracting assistance from international partners is ongoing. It is expected that donor countries will send another 251 cargoes in the near future.
The attraction of humanitarian aid is regulated by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 22 July 2022 No. 824, which defines the procedure for receiving, distributing, using and accounting for aid for the needs of the energy sector under martial law.
