During his working visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Minister of Education of the Republic of Poland Barbara Nowacka.
The officials paid special attention to the inclusion of the Ukrainian component in the Polish school curriculum, as well as the issue of allocating time and premises for studying Ukrainian subjects.
“We are determined to work together to create conditions for Ukrainian children to ensure that they have the opportunity to receive education in their native language, even abroad. Our children should not be cut off from their language, culture and history,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the need to simplify the process of attracting Ukrainian certified teachers.
Oleksiy Chernyshov expressed his gratitude to the Polish Minister of Education for her openness to cooperation and understanding of the needs of Ukrainians.
