  • In January, Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories transferred UAH 55 million to pay state aid to POWs and their families

Last month, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories allocated more than UAH 55 million to pay state financial assistance to persons released from captivity and family members of persons currently held in captivity.

This includes one-time and annual assistance in the amount of UAH 100,000. The money was transferred to the bank accounts of those released from captivity and the families of prisoners.

The facts of deprivation of personal liberty of these persons as a result of the armed aggression against Ukraine were established by the relevant commission, which operates under the Ministry.

It should be noted that the first meeting of this commission in 2024 took place at the end of January. The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories continues to transfer funds for the payment of such state aid to former prisoners of war and family members of persons held in enemy captivity.
