During a regular sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on November 4, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the key priorities of the draft State Budget for 2021.
"We plan to allocate UAH 156 billion for the medical system, which is by UAH 27.5 billion more than in 2020. A UAH 174 billion resource will be directed on education. This is by UAH 34 billion more than in 2020," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister added that the draft budget provides funds for the increase of the minimum wage from January 1 to UAH 6,000 and from July 1 to UAH 6,500.
"There has been envisaged a UAH 12 billion resource for business support through lending programs, as well as a record level of funding for social benefits - UAH 324 billion," the Prime Minister said.
During the sitting, Denys Shmyhal called on the MPs with a request to approve the draft State Budget for 2021 in the first reading this week.
"On Monday, the budget committee supported the budget we had submitted. And we urge parliamentarians to approve the document in the first reading this week. Then we will in synergy finalize those particular issues and take into account the remarks that were expressed," noted the Prime Minister.
