  • Joint Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on Defense-Industrial Cooperation took place in the MOD

    23 January, Kyiv, 7th meeting of the Joint Ukrainian — Turkish Commission on Defense-Industrial Cooperation took place in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

    The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration Anatolii Petrenko. The Turkish side was represented by the Vice President of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries of the Republic of Turkey Serdar Demirel.

    The main purpose of the meeting was to agree on prospects and further steps for implementation of joint projects in the field of armaments and military equipment, within the framework of the development of the Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership.

    During the meeting, the parties defined priorities for 2020, in order to establish effective cooperation between the defense industries of Ukraine and Turkish Republic.

    The result of the meeting was the signing of the Intergovernmental Protocol, which secures reached agreements.

    Also, during the visit, the Turkish delegation visited the state enterprises “Luch” and “Artem”, as well as held negotiations with the leadership of the state company “Ukroboronprom”.
