Deputies for recovery to be appointed in ministries and regional administrations


The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to introduce the positions of deputies for regional, territorial and infrastructure recovery at the level of ministries and regional administrations.

According to the resolution, the approval of candidates for the positions of deputy ministers and deputy heads of regional state administrations in charge of recovery falls within the competence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

“Restoration of the sectors and regions most affected by the armed aggression requires better coordination. The introduction of relevant positions at the level of ministries and regional administrations will allow us to implement critical recovery projects faster, use resources more efficiently and better coordinate efforts at the level of central and regional authorities," said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

According to the resolution, the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, and the Ministry of Social Policy will introduce the position of deputy minister in charge of regional, territorial and infrastructure recovery.

In addition, the respective positions of deputy heads of regional state administrations in charge of recovery will be introduced in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regional state administrations.

The resolution also provides for the powers of deputy ministers and deputy heads of regional state administrations in matters of recovery to be transferred to already appointed deputies.
