The Ministry of Veterans‘ Affairs of Ukraine has launched a large-scale project - a network of veterans’ spaces across the country. The first establishments under the new branding of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs - VETERAN PRO - have already been opened in the Kyiv region in the cities of Brovary and Boryspil.
The project was developed by the Ministry's team in cooperation with the veteran community. VETERAN PRO is an inclusive network of multifunctional centres for comprehensive support of female and male veterans, their families and the families of the deceased.
Veteran spaces will provide a wide range of services: from psychological and legal assistance to physical and sports rehabilitation and support for veteran entrepreneurship. In particular they offer:
The VETERAN PRO spaces will also provide support for war veterans and demobilised persons.
"VETERAN PRO spaces are a single point of entry to the veteran community. You can come here and quickly get the necessary information and help on the way back to your target life. Finally, you can simply spend time with your brothers and sisters-in-arms and your family. The project is ambitious, but these are really the places that the veteran community needs. I appeal to heads of cities and leaders of local communities to join the project," said the acting Minister of Veterans Affairs Oleksandr Porkhun.
It is worth reminding that in June 2024, the Guidelines on the creation and functioning of veterans' spaces were approved.
