Comprehensive restoration continues in Borodianka – 10 more apartment buildings completed
In Borodianka (Kyiv region), as part of a comprehensive restoration project, 387 more apartments have undergone major repairs: roofs, windows, and doors have been replaced, and entrances and engineering solutions have been updated.
Solar panels with inverters have been installed on the roofs. They provide electricity to common areas – entrances, elevators, and courtyard lighting. Some of the electricity is stored in batteries, which allows lighting to be maintained even during power outages. This reduces residents' costs and increases the energy efficiency of buildings.
"The comprehensive restoration of Borodianka continues. Of the more than 800 damaged buildings, about 600 have already been restored. At the same time, heating and water networks, schools, and kindergartens are being modernized, and modern shelters and barrier-free spaces are being created. We are moving step by step – from restoration to systematic community development," emphasized Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba.
Courtyards, playgrounds, and sports grounds have also been equipped. A separate sports location has been created on Vokzalna Street.
It should be noted that the comprehensive recovery of communities affected by the war is one of the key priorities of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. This is not just the reconstruction of damaged or destroyed buildings, but the creation of a modern, safe, energy-efficient environment that meets the needs of people. The comprehensive restoration project involves settlements from different regions of Ukraine, which allows for the conditions, scale of destruction, and local experience to be taken into account.
