Social payments for internally displaced persons will be maintained in 2023. This was announced by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, in an interview with a TV channel.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, it is not possible to say that the majority of IDPs have already achieved financial independence. Therefore, it is very important to continue to pay the benefits due to them and to give them the opportunity to get back on their feet. “My position remains unchanged – this year we must continue all payments to IDPs,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
The State Policy Strategy on Internal Displacement until 2025, developed by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories and approved by the Government, includes the provision of state financial assistance to IDPs.
