The Government will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill designed to remove obstacles to the implementation of critical infrastructure projects for the State, told Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government session on December 9.

According to him, the document proposes to improve a mechanism for regulating the provision of land plots for the construction of transport infrastructure objects being of paramount importance for the State. In particular, that will give an opportunity to launch the implementation of the project of the first concession autobahn Krakovets - Brody - Rivne next year.

"Concession highways are not just about improving the quality of roads. This is primarily the preservation of already repaired and newly built routes. Trucks that destroy roads the most will move along high-quality and high-speed highways. This will allow relieving the burden on conventional highways," said the Prime Minister.

Earlier, the Government summoned a meeting on the implementation of a public-private partnership within the project of construction and operation of the highway along the route Krakovets - Brody - Rivne. The collection of information along the project route has been completed, while the first construction activities should start in 2022.
