  • Situation in the energy system as of 28 June
Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 28 June 2024 10:59

Due to russian shelling, restrictions are imposed on consumers; power companies have reconnected 19,500 customers who were cut off due to hostilities and technical disruptions

    GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Yesterday, to cover the needs of consumers, Ukraine additionally attracted emergency assistance from the power systems of Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

Emergency assistance was also provided in the night time.

The hourly outage schedules apply from 0:00 to 24:00. The information will be updated if the situation changes.

Please note that the main reason for the restrictions is the enemy's attacks on the energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks.

Please consume electricity responsibly. This will reduce the duration of outages and help power engineers keep the grid more stable.

    CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

The new shelling caused blackouts in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions.

Meanwhile, power companies have managed to reconnect 19,500 customers who lost power due to hostilities and technological disruptions.

    STATE OF THE GRID

In Kyiv, due to a technological failure, residential buildings and institutions in the central district lost power. All of them have been reconnected.

In the southern region, equipment was disconnected at a high-voltage substation. As a result, consumers in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions lost power.

A green generation facility also reduced its output. The reason was a technological failure caused by a grass fire near the equipment. All consumers were supplied with electricity within an hour.

    CONSEQUENCES OF WEATHER

Due to bad weather (thunderstorms), 9,824 consumers in 17 settlements in Zakarpattia region were cut off from electricity supply.

    SITUATION AT ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is 15.10 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant's needs.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 31,390 MWh. No exports are planned.
