Situation in the power system as of April 22: three miners were injured in Donetsk region as a result of a mine shelling; electricity needs are covered by domestic generation, commercial imports and emergency aid from neighboring countries.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to network constraints on the transmission system operator's lines, blackout schedules were applied in Kharkiv region yesterday. Restrictions in this region and in Kryvyi Rih remain in effect today.
Yesterday, in the evening, Ukraine received emergency supplies from Poland, Slovakia and Romania. The total volume of supplies amounted to less than one percent of the daily consumption.
Also, at the request of the Ukrainian transmission system operator, emergency electricity supplies are carried out during the current day. The total amount of electricity supplied is expected to reach 2% of the forecast daily consumption.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
Yesterday the enemy shelled one of the mines in Donetsk region. Three employees were injured.
Another rocket attack on the enterprise took place at night. The facilities were damaged.
STATE OF THE GRID
Yesterday in Odesa region, due to a technical failure, equipment at a high-voltage substation was briefly shut down, cutting off power to household consumers.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region, a high-voltage substation was briefly shut down due to a technical failure. As a result, household consumers and one legal entity lost power.
In Sumy region, a tree fell and damaged a high-voltage overhead line, causing power outages for household consumers. The line is now back in operation.
CONSEQUENCES OF WEATHER
An overhead line in Donetsk region was disconnected due to bad weather (strong winds), which led to a power outage for household consumers and two mines (25 people were working underground). The workers came to the surface.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.43 meters. This is enough to meet the plant's needs.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 7858 MWh. No exports are expected.
