POWER GENERATION
Power engineers have successfully commissioned a hydroelectric unit of one of the hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of more than 57 MW after reconstruction. Additionally, measures were taken at the same plant to repair equipment damaged by missile and drone strikes. This allowed to increase the capacity of the HPP by 100 MW. In total, the power output of this HPP to the integrated power system of Ukraine was increased by 157 MW.
Repairs are underway at one of the generation facilities in Donetsk region that was damaged by shelling. In particular, a unit that will add 125 MW of capacity to the grid has been repaired.
In preparation for the upcoming heating season, a large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.
STATE OF THE GRID
A 330 kV substation of NPC Ukrenergo was shut down due to a technological failure, which led to the outage of three 110 kV substations. As a result, 23,000 consumers in the city of Rivne were briefly left without electricity.
SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS
In Kharkiv region, power engineers managed to reconnect about 70 customers in border villages in Dergachi, Kharkiv and Izium districts that had been without power since the first day of hostilities. The mine engineers cleared the area to start repairing the damaged power lines. In total, about 20,000 consumers in the region, including the temporarily occupied areas, remain without electricity.
Some customers in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power due to the enemy’s terror. Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP
In Kherson, power engineers have restored power lines to supply electricity to about 300 people who were without power due to flooding. About 11,000 consumers in the city remain without power. Power engineers are working to restore the power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.
SITUATION AT THE ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is stable. It is currently at 16.18 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
EXPORT/IMPORT
Commercial electricity imports over the past day amounted to 5,873.00 MWh. There were no exports.
