The power system of Ukraine experienced a surplus of electricity yesterday. At the request of NPC Ukrenergo to the neighbouring transmission system operator, the surplus was transferred to Poland in the total amount of 1,488 MWh (from 10:30 to 14:00).
No shortage of electricity is expected for the current day. There are 9 units of generating equipment at thermal power plants in reserve, which will be used if necessary. Commercial electricity imports and exports are planned.
The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No blackout schedules are applied.
