Slight electricity shortfall, no electricity restrictions applied in any region
Power generation and consumption
As a result of the hostilities, damage to generation facilities and increased consumption, there was a slight deficit in the power system yesterday afternoon, which was covered by emergency imports from Romania and Poland. The deficit was less than one percent of the daily consumption.
A deficit of up to 1.2% of daily consumption will be recorded today. Emergency imports of electricity from neighbouring countries will be used to balance the system.
One TPP unit was taken out of service for short-term emergency repairs. At the same time, 2 TPP units and 1 CHPP unit were brought back online.
There are currently no outage schedules in any of the regions.
The situation is under control. The power system is balanced.
State of the grid
The 220 kV interstate overhead line with Hungary was disconnected for technical reasons. The line is being inspected to determine the location of the damage. The outage of the 110 kV Sloviansk TPP – Zelenyi Klyn line cut off power to consumers in the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk hub in Donetsk region. The reason was a broken wire. The power supply was restored within a few hours.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.67 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the station.
Import/export
Electricity imports totalled 5,314 MWh. There were no exports.
