Power generation and consumption
There is no shortage of electricity in the power system. Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Commercial electricity imports are also planned.
There are eight thermal generation units in reserve that will be connected to the grid if necessary.
The system is balanced. No stabilisation outage schedules are applied.
Consequences of shelling
The hostilities have cut power to an overhead line in Donetsk region, resulting in a power failure at substations and a blackout for domestic consumers.
State of the grid
For technical reasons, a 110 kV overhead line in Kharkiv region was disconnected. As a result, the substation supplying power to the railway was de-energised (train traffic was disrupted), and household consumers were also left without power. All users were promptly reconnected.
A wire theft was detected at a 330 kV overhead line in Kharkiv district.
Import/export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 2,970 MWh, while exports are not expected.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.60 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
