The enemy continues shelling the energy infrastructure in the frontline and border regions. Despite this, there are no plans to introduce power outage schedules today. 116 settlements in 4 regions are without power due to bad weather
Power generation and consumption
Today, there will be no scheduled power cuts. Information about any changes can be found on the official websites of regional power distribution companies.
Due to hostile attacks, Ukraine’s power system has lost 9 GW of capacity. Substations and power lines were particularly affected, so there are restrictions on electricity transmission.
We urge everyone to consume electricity sparingly. This enables power engineers to keep the grid more stable.
Consequences of the shelling
In Dnipropetrovsk region, equipment at one of the substations was damaged due to a drone attack.
In Chernihiv region, shelling caused a power cut to 2,465 consumers.
In Zaporizhzhia region, a UAV crash resulted in partial outages at a substation and local industry.
State of the grid
In Dnipropetrovsk region, damage was detected at a high-voltage substation. No customers were disconnected.
In Zhytomyr region, several substations lost power, but power was restored using a backup scheme.
In Lviv region, the line outage resulted in the de-energisation of substations and disruption of train traffic. The power supply has been restored.
In Kyiv region, a line was disconnected due to technological disruptions, but power was restored using a backup scheme.
