Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 15 June 2024 10:42

Situation in the power system as of 15 June: due to massive russian attacks, restrictions on consumers are being applied; almost 1800 subscribers were simultaneously cut off from power supply in Chernihiv region as a result of shelling.

    GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Yesterday, due to the shortage of generation caused by massive russian attacks on energy facilities, consumer restrictions were applied.

Today, hourly outage schedules are scheduled to be applied from 8:00 to 23:00.

No blackouts are foreseen for critical infrastructure companies and companies that import 80% of their electricity in accordance with a Government decree.

This morning, at the request of Poland, Ukraine received surplus electricity from the country's power system.

    CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

The enemy struck one of the high-voltage substations in the eastern region. This resulted in power cuts to household consumers and interruptions in train traffic. Consumers have been partially supplied with power and restoration works are underway.

In Chernihiv region, the enemy shelled an overhead line of a regional power company. As a result, 1,765 customers in 12 settlements lost power at once.

    STATE OF GRIDS

In Kirovograd region, an overhead power line was disconnected for technical reasons, and household consumers lost power. Everyone has been supplied with power. The cause is being investigated.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 35,606 MWh. No exports are expected.
