A power engineering team came under fire in Donetsk region; restrictions on consumers are applied throughout the day
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to massive russian shelling, the power system is experiencing a capacity shortage. Yesterday, to partially cover it, Ukraine additionally engaged emergency assistance from the Polish power system. Emergency assistance has been engaged today as well.
As of today, hourly outage schedules are planned to be in effect from 0:00 to 24:00. If the situation changes, the information will be updated.
Due to the ongoing heat wave in Ukraine, electricity consumption may increase, in particular due to the active use of air conditioners. We urge everyone to consume electricity sparingly. This enables power engineers to keep the power system more stable.
There will be no power cuts for critical infrastructure companies and companies that import more than 80% of their electricity in accordance with a government decree.
The main reason for the electricity restrictions is the enemy’s attacks on the energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks.
